Friendly Personages Mr. Kohichi Kohyama, mayor of Nakanoku from 1986 to present, has always advocated friendship between Japan and China. He has visited China 23 times and has contributed to the relations of friendship between the two districts. In September 1996 Mr. Kohyama was made an honorary resident of Xicheng District. Mr. Kisaburo Ichikawa, chairman of the Higashikurume Japan-China Friendship Agency from 1988 to present, has always advocated friendship between Japan and China. He is enthusiastic about the work of friendship and has made contributions to the friendship between the two districts. In October 1998 Mr. Ichikawa was made an honorary resident of Xicheng District.
