Recently, Maryland Community College Orchestra and other two high school orchestra from Mayland, US. came to Xicheng District and performed together with JinShengGuo Orchestra from Financial Street Community school. Both sides performed their skilled melodies and paid tribute to the 2008 BeiJing Olympics.

    In the first half of the performance, orchestras from Maryland performed western classic melodies. In the second half, JinShengGuo Orchestra also skillfully performed Chinese melodies.

    During the performance, an ensemble of erhu fiddles, zheng and other Chinese instrument, together with violin and cello, successfully gave a Chinese and western styles combined concert.
