The 7th Shicha Hai Culture&Travelling Festival began on July 18th. The opening ceremony was held in Shicha Hai Hall on the bank of the Front Sea. As the Olympic Games is around the corner, this year's festival comes out with a series of creative projects with Beijing traditional cultural flavor. Beijing depth tour which tours into traditional HuTongs and Siheyuans, imperial city tour and High-tech experiencing tour, become the 3 main tourist lines in Xicheng District. Projects with the themes of "Olympic Family tour""GuangMingGe crosstalk""Historical culture exhibition of Shicha Hai""Yandai Byway" are also ready to serve tourists during the Festival, which could enable athletes and guests from across the world to experience the original Beijing lifestyle.
 This year's festival provides tourists the opportunity to visit and experience HuTong, water scene, Residence of Prince Gong and to taste the delicious local food.
 High-class dark-awninged boats and 300 new tricycles are well-prepared for tourists during the festival. The first fold orchestra in China will also perform in the Blue Lotus Bar on the bank of Shicha Hai Sea.
  The festival will continue to late September, in the meantime, guests from across the world and citizens in Beijing could celebrate the 2008 Olympic Games together and enjoy the beautiful ShichaHai scene.
