Anne Rogge, wife of President Jacques Rogge of the International Olympic Committee, visited Beijing No.4 High School with more than 10 staffs. They visited the campus and got a better understanding of Chinese culture through practicing calligraphy and making folk handicraft articles.
When Mrs. Rogge and the group arrived at Beijing No.4 High School, they were warmly welcomed by students there. They visited the whole campus and got a rough idea of the Olympic education work in China during recent years. Then Mrs. Rogge was attracted by a girl who was playing chime bell. The girl spontaneously performed the Chinese famous folk song "Jasmine", making the guests immersed in the melody.
Mrs. Rogge also practiced Chinese calligraphy and made pottery at No.4 High School. She even wrote Chinese Characters with writing brush and finished a pottery handicraft article with the help of students.
Before leaving, Mrs.Rogge left her best wishes for Beijing Olympics and for No.4 High School on the same banner where the teachers and students wrote their best wishes for Olympics.
